Dear
Type:
Artist / Band / Musician
Genre:
Japanese Classic Music / K-POP / Gothic
Dear was founded in 1999 by Laust Sonne and was originally intended as a solo-project.The first Dear-album Nice Noizy Toys (MNW, Feb. 2001) was therefore solely a product of mr. Sonne's vivid imagination. For the follow-up live-tour Laust handpicked a string of his favorite musicians and together they toured intensely the following year and a half. Dear played the 3 big danish festivals Roskilde, Ringe and Skanderborg and was admired for the hyper-energetic and saucy live-shows. With the follow-up Billy B (Billy B. Records / Playground, nov. 2003) Dear takes the band-vibe all the way. There are quite a few 1st takes on the album and the production breathes with life and a strong urge to rock. Billy B is co-produced by Superheroes-leadsinger and Junior Senior-producer Thomas Troelsen in his very own Delta Lab Studio. It was recorded and mixed in 3 1/ 2 weeks.
At the moment Laust Sonne is working on some new material which will lead to a single release of Disco Heart in the autumn and a new record around the beginning of next year.
