DEADSOIL, founded in late 2002 by Boris Pracht and Christian Bass, started right away with writing songs after old projects like Copykill called it's quits and Christian decided to part ways with his long time fellows in Night in Gales, combining their musical skills to create something fresh and heavy. Mixing diverse styles inbetween metal and hardcore with the only claim to chrush everything on their way, their music could be described as devastating music, beyond the limits of any genre, connecting the musical skills of hookline-loaden and precise metal with the aggressive instincts of the tough side of hardcore, in order to combine hardcore and metal and take it to another level.

Since playing their first show in February 2003, the band proofed their live qualities as well as their musical skills in a remarkable number of shows, being on tour with acts like Poison The Well or as support for bands as Hatebreed, The Haunted, Dew-Scented, Darkest Hour and countless other bands. Besides Germany, DEADSOIL played in countries as Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain. And all that with just a two song pre-recording demo under their belt, which they sold at their shows.

In June 2003, DEADSOIL released their debut MCD entitled 'Forever The Enemy' on Poisonfree.com Records. The reactions have been more then overwhelming!! The MCD/10" was later release by Tribunal Records in the USA. In late 2003 DEADSOIL signed to Germany's Lifeforce Records for their upcoming outputs. Right before the recordings, Jens Basten, former Night in Gales member, joined the band on guitar. The band’s first album entitled 'the venom divine' was recorded May 2004 at Berno Studios in Malmö, Sweden and was released on CD in Europe in August 2004, and later also in the USA, Japan and in Australia. Bastardized Records did a limited picture disc vinyl 12“. A Video-shooting for the song 'History Retold' followed right after the release of 'the venom divine'.

The band hit the road as part of the „New Born Hate“ Tour with Hatesphere and Born From Pain in August of the same year and played a small tour together with Terror in the same month. In February 2005 DEADSOIL flew over to the US for the first time to tour the West Coast/Mid West for almost three weeks together with The Warriors, Callico System and Reflux, which turned out to be a great success. In May 2005 DEADSOIL have been a part of the „We are the Enemy“ European-Tour together with Destiny and By Night. In the same year they have been part of the 2005 edition of Exit Fest which took place in Serbia and also played Hungary and Denmark for the first time.

In January 2006 it was about time to enter the studio once again, this time to record their second full length album entitled 'sacrifice'. It was recorded at Principal-Studios in Senden, Germay (Guano Apes, H-Blockx, Caliban, Waterdown) by Vincent Sorg, mixed by Kataklysm’s Jean-Francois Dagenais and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music, Tenafly, NJ. Just one day after they left the studio DEADSOIL hit the road once again to tour the UK for the first time - this time teamed up with The Black Dahlia Murder to share stage with, followed by a co-headlining tour through Europe with Illdisposed in May 2006. Besides playing the „With Full Force“ Festival XIV 2006 in Germany, dozens of (headlining-) shows followed. The band began to write new songs and started 2007 with recording them, right before they left again to co-headline a tour through Germany and Austria. This time together with Machinemade God and Koroded.
