Dead Beat Project is the brainchild of frenchman, sound-designer, multi-instrumentalist Olivier Goyet, (Dark Orange (2008-), ex-Esoteric (UK) (2003-2009)), which came to life during his 15 years stay in the UK.
Classically trained in Piano from an early age, Goyet is passionate about music and gathered all his influences under one umbrella.
The result is somewhere in between, Classical music, Trip-Hop, Industrial, Post-Rock, Ambient.
A first album entitled 'Breaking the Shell' was was released in 2007 on Aesthetic Death Records, (Obskure.com "[] a meteorite, [] lost in the universe [] rising inadvertently [] landing on nothing, carrying a diffused-light halo, a synthetic and emotional load" 80%).
The music expresses a certain form of beauty in sadness and melancholy.
Endless Space and Time where one can linger eyes closed. A moment of reflexion on the inner self
In 2009, Goyet works with Body-Art Choregrapher Gwam on a new project called 'R'Evolution = Evolution,Rve,Rvolution' (Evolution,Dream,Revolution), a show-performance bringing together artists from different horizons with the aim to pass on an idea, a message, to enlight the listener to become aware of the need to preserve the Earth.
A one hour soundtrack is recorded and mastered just like its predecessor by Greg Chandler (Esoteric) at the Priory Studios in Sutton Coldfield (UK).
Goyet is currently actively seeking a way to promote and distribute this new album.
