D_composure

D_composure is an eclectic electronic project that began in South Florida. The project has gone through various stages of change over the years. Starting as a side project to Mindlikewater in 2004 with members Joseph Beaty and John Cheadle. A few songs were completed by the founding duo and never released. John then moved on to work on other projects and Beaty began work with friend and producer,
Ryan Copt. A short lived live band recorded a "self titled EP" with members: Beaty, Copt, Bill Jarrett and Jason Mooney. After the departure of drummer Jason Mooney, D_composure went on to release D_composure's debut album, "Keep the World Out" without a drummer. An Electronic Rock experiment dealing with issues of anxiety and extreme social behavior. Guitarist Matt Short later joined the live lineup in support of Keep the World Out. Many shows were played in between the two full length records which included opening for acts such as: Silversun Pickups, Flyleaf and more. The band then began work on the follow up record, "The Future Wave" which focused more on elaborate sound design to stand along side an end of days theme based on a reoccurring dream had by D_composure founder, Joseph Beaty. A solid year of recording "The Future Wave" along with shows and other studio work put strain on D_comp as a live entity and stopped playing shows a few months after the sophomore album release. Joseph and Ryan Copt then began work on other things including film score and their previous band, Mindlikewater. A few random tracks were released here and there before resurrecting the band for 2 last shows in 2011 featuring Beaty, Copt, Short and 2 new additions: James Dickens and Josh Santimer. The band had never sounded so energized live. The future of Live performances for D_composure is unknown and likely over. Joseph Beaty is currently writing and recording in his home studio in New York and collaborating with original member, John Cheadle who is currently based in Oklahoma. Stay tuned for news and updates.
