Doc Rock of the D-Boyz is one of the Mid West's hottest up and coming artists! At an early age he can be heard his father's( The Legendary Doc Rock) mixtapes spittin rhymes. After his dad was brutally murdered in 1993, He knew he had to keep the family's strong musical tradition alive. As he grew older he realized that people were interested in his talent and he began rapping at house party's to the delight of the crowd. In At 18 he entered the Freestyle Battle at Dr Dre and Eminems Chronic 2001 Tour in Dallas and emerged as the winner. This inspired Doc Rock to devote 100 percent of his time and energy to his craft. In 2002 He hooked up w J-Son and D-Folks to form the Cash Click Affiliates, the trio quickly became a local favorite. Although their album was leaked, it was never officially released. In 2004 the group amicably parted ways, D Folks began working on his solo project, Doc Rock and J-Son formed a new group called The D-Boyz. Signed to Bal-Hed Ent, the D-Boyz released their debut album, Chain of Command. Chain of Command went on to move several thousand units, The D-Boyz perfomed on concert bills w Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Tech N9ne and Pit Bull before parting ways w Bal-Hed Ent in 2005. Shortly after the departure, Doc created his own label, Doc Rock Music, He quickly signed himself, along w J-Son and the two released their Sopphomore album The Takeover, In 2006. This album was received w much fanfare. It moved nearly 3000 units. Doc Rock and J-Son are both currently working on Solo projects to be released in the 1st quarter of 09. In the mean time, Doc Rock has hooked up w Billy the Kid and Yayoda Records to release The Collision Mixtape vol 1 (of many) Starring Doc Rock and Stix Izza. This album features Young Buck, Kingpin Skinnypimp, Big Smo, All-Star, Fate Eastwood, J-Son, Powder P, and more.
