When you look at this profile you are checking out the future of southern hip hop."DC", born Darnell Charles, originally from the eastside of Detroit, came to Atlanta at a young age with his family in hopes of finding a better way of life. Soon to this fate, him and his family would face many struggles. Moving to different parts of Atlanta made him used to change and eventually hanging with the wrong crowd. As he grew older hard times continued and one summer in 1998(@ age 11) he took his first try at spittin'. First conquering the art of freestyling, he found writing rhymes was a way to express the way he felt. Not knowing if he could really take off as an aritst, he rapped to entertain friends and family. He had to do otherwise to make money. By 2003 he had met a Lanky Poet who opened his eyes to realize DC's potential. From then on, he learned the pros and cons of the rap game.
