David Aubaile

Born in 1970, he spends its childhood abroad, those numerous travels giving him the taste and the curiosity of various cultures. Initiated early with foreign languages, and with arts, he will be more particularly sensitive to music. On its arrival in Paris, at the age of 10 he integrated the academy of music in class of flute and learns piano as an autodidact. He begins his first musical adventures at the age of 14 but only a few years later, while studiing law and Japanese at the university, he will start to play with artists of jazz like SULEIMAN HAKIM or GILLES RENNE Finally the music overrides Japanese, his different meetings will bring him closer to the new Maghrebian scene in its larger field: FERHAT, SAPHO, FADELA & SAHRAOUI or will ex-DJURDJURA. But its taste of adventure pushes him always further and thus he will have the oportunity to dig into the new French musical scene; he will record and tour for several years with SERGENT GARCIA, TETE, HELENA Its delicate phrase is very quickly noticed, and it is as a pianist and flutist that SALIF KEITA, LOKUA KANZA, KARIM ZIAD or KHALED, among others will invite him to take part to their concerts and records. It's now 15 years that DAVID AUBAILE invests himself in various musical experiments, records, composes and arranges. Always curious about the world under all its forms as well linguistic as artistic, he likes to collaborate with artists who themselves mix their traditional cultures with the western culture.
