'Nothing You Can Do About It' is the first single from the album 'Essex Arms' and is available digitally from the 16th August on FortunaPOP! records.

The video itself is something of a YouTube / Twitter experiment with fans contributing largely to the compilation video. If you were involved make yourself known.

Essex Arms is the fifth solo album from ex-Hefner singer Darren Hayman.

It is the second in a proposed trilogy of albums about his home county of Essex.

Pram Town (2009) dealt with the displacement and ennui of living in a new town (Harlow) and received the best reviews of Hayman's solo career.

Essex Arms takes the narrative to the countryside, a conceptual piece about the East Anglian underbelly.

"The songs are about love in unloved places," says Darren, "I wanted to sing about a lawless, hidden version of the countryside, but still treat the subject with tenderness and respect."
