My name is Darius Twyman, also known as "The Scat Man". I was introduced to this music of gospel by the late Donald R. Vails in the year of 1980. I graduated to co-founder of The Abundant Life Fellowship Chorale under the leadership of Oscar Hayes. During my tenure, I wrote and co-wrote many gospel classics such as " GOT TO TELL IT,None But The Righteous, Followers of Christ, and Simply Determined". (Just to name a few) With God's favor, I was given the vision to start my own aggregation Darius Twyman and Destiny; October 15, 1995. In 1997 we were afforded the opportunity to release our first recording "Fulfilling My Destiny". From this recording were spun the following: "Moving Up, He Won't Fail (Feat. Dorinda Clark-Cole)", and the hit single "I've Got a Job". As a result, many doors were opened resulting in opportunities to work with other gospel greats and legends. Such as the late James Moore, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, The Craig Brothers,Marcus Cole, and many other notable artist. I am truly grateful to all of the people who have inspired me down through the years. Some of them may never know but I want to say thanks to just a few people:Donald Lawrence, All of the Clark Sisters, The late great Thomas Anthony Whitfield, Pastor Edgar A. Vann and the entire Second Ebenezer Church Family, Andre Crouch, Sandra Crouch, Michael Powell, John P. In the year 2005 of August God blessed me to have the gastric bypass. I went from weighing almost 400pds to presently weighing 230pds (GOD IS GOOOOD) I have heard that many people are not in agreement with the surgery, but I choose LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well friends it's time for a new chapter in the life of the SCATMAN. My new CD is on the way Finally. I pray that all of you who have ever supported me will continue to do so; and those of you who are meeting me for the first time that this will be the beginning of a new found friendship. So Keep your ears open and stay tuned because it's going down. I pray that those of you who are struggling with issues would let go of them and LET GOD work them out.
