Dario Pinelli & The Italian Gypsy Jazz Trio is composed of three of the most esteemed musicians world wide in the genre 'jazz manouche': Dario Pinelli on the solo guitar, Walter Clerici on vocals and rhythmic guitar, and Renato Gattone on the double bass. What do these three artists have in common? Each of them being of Italian descent.
Dario Pinelli is considered one of the greatest solo guitarists in gypsy jazz, furthermore being the youngest. Protagonist in countless international festivals, performing in trio with The Godfathers or in quartet with Angelo Debarre, has now broadened the society with Walter Clerici, director of the Hot Club of Copenhagen who is as skilled as is rare an Italian Swing singer.
To complete the trio, Renato Gattone, the double bassist and television personage that has accompanied the walk of Italian Swing musicians including Romano Mussolini and Renzo Arbore.
The repertoire presented by Dario Pinelli Italian Gypsy Jazz Trio ranges from the Django Reinhardt classics to the French Waltz Musette to the 1940's post-war Italian swing and much more, distinguishing the formation.
Dario Pinelli e l'Italian Gypsy Jazz Trio è composto da tre dei più stimati musicisti al mondo nel genere Gypsy Jazz: Dario Pinelli alla chitarra solista, Walter Clerici alla chitarra ritmica e voce e Renato Gattone al contrabbasso.
Cosa accomuna questi tre musicisti?
Ognuno di loro ha origini italiane.
Dario Pinelli è considerato uno dei più grandi chitarristi solisti nel genere Gypsy Jazz ed è anche il più giovane tra quelli in attività.
Protagonista di numerosi festival internazionali suonando in trio con i "The Godfathers" o in quartet con Angelo Debarre, ha recentemente stretto il sodalizio con Walter Clerici, direttore dell'Hot Club of Copenhagen, che è un bravissimo quanto raro cantante di swing italiano.
A completare il trio, Renato Gattone, il contrabbassista nonché personaggio televisivo che ha accompagnato il cammino di molti "miti" dello swing italiano come Romano Mussolini, Renzo Arbore, ecc.
Il repertorio presrentato dal Dario Pinelli Italian Gypsy Jazz Trio spazia dai classici di Django Reinhardt al walzer musette e dai classici del dopoguerra italiani alle composizioni personali.
