Dans La Tente debuted in 2009 with the EP 'Knights'. Their sound characteristics provoked parallels to bands like Joy Divison or The Jesus And Mary Chain although Dans La Tente never wanted to be their executors. But mainly the song 'Streetlights' hit then the zeitgeist. That's why Radio 3Fach allocated 'Streetlights' as song of the year 2009 and assigned Dans La Tente the Kick Ass Award 2009.
When Dans La Tente continued with the single 'As Long As The Heart Keeps Beating' in 2010 and used imagery of the not so chic sides of the eighties for the video, the band finally waved goodbye to the perfume of the past. That helped the band to find a new audience in the French part of Switzerland and brought them on stage at the renowned Paléo Festival in Nyon in the summer 2011.
Living today in Lucerne and Zürich the band's provenance from the Jazz-Mecca Willisau seems to leave its mark more than ever. 'Deeper, warmer, more range and more patience was the device for the debut' says the band. As a matter of fact 'Did We Like It So Far Or Have We Just Persevered?' is coevally strong and weak, is a cutback and a rebuilding and opens the door to a new band-chapter: Keeping off from the past to find today's signature.
