i'll try and make it short:::::::::::: i go by the name of Danny MSD aka Scientist The Dub Master aka Danny Dread, as a little kid i did listen to a lot of early ska, rocksteady & reggae, as my mum was always buying music and i can't forget my aunt and uncles. who lived in London, as a youth in the 70's i use to hang around the local sound systems that use to play at the 1st caribbean club in oxford, on the Cowley rd, which is now Boots, i didn't really take note of the sounds playing till around 77 that's when i start hear sounds like jah shaka, quaker city, sir coxsone, jah tubbys, etc,etc. them sounds use to pass through, in the early 80's i got into the hip hop scene and made a name for myself as a top hip hop dj in oxford(mixing and turntable tricks). i got into producing a little hip hop and dub around 85-86. around 91 me and a friend named Jason(ja blinks) Hardy made at the time a rave record called DUB PLATE, we went under the name of WOTS MY CODE, it got release in 92 and went on to be a big jungle/drum & bass anthem, it was also remixed by Ray Keith and Total Science (it's still been played today)Even though i love my hip hop & other kinds of music ,i never left the reggae side of things, i'm in two sound systems, one called MA-KAYA SOUNDS SYSTEM which is based in birmingham and we play more of the uk steppers and dub music and the other sound is ADDIS ABABA SOUND SYSTEM which is based in Oxford, and we play more of the yard roots music and roots revivals.I've been producing music from about 1985 off and on, the style i deal with is Roots music, Dub and some Hip Hop, just due to work i have not got the time i would like to put a 100% into it but then again it's all for fun and the love of the music, i'm not really out to make money but if money is made then it's all good, i also produce music with my friend Paul who run's the sound system called MA-KAYA SOUND which plays the hard stepping or one drop dubz (uk style)pattern.MORE TO ADD LATER
