Aiming to take the world of performing arts by storm, DaNell Daymon & Royalty are driven by their passion for excellence, carrying out their mission to communicate God’s love through presentation and song. With the vision to become a national recording ministry, Royalty is led under the dynamic, Spirit-filled direction of its founder, DaNell Daymon of Rochester, New York. Both talented and gifted in his approach to music, DaNell is skilled at promoting the musical development of others, while also helping them to grow personally in the process.
Graced with energy, enthusiasm, and exuberance, Royalty’s anointed vocalists give a striking choral delivery, complimented by creative choreography designed to engage, inspire, and empower listening audiences everywhere. Royalty has accompanied and shared the stage with some of the world’s most talented Gospel artists, including Fred Hammond, Kim Burrell, Lonnie Hunter, Gary Mayes & Nu Era, Malcolm Williams, Yvette Williams (a Kurt Carr Singer), Lamar Campbell, and Vicki Winans.
In both 2005 and 2007, DaNell Daymon & Royalty received the honor of being named the Community Choir of the Year by Seattle’s Gospel radio station, The Gospel Show on KNHC 89.5. Honors were also awarded to Royalty in 2006, as the McDonald’s Corporation presented them with the McDonald’s Gospel Fest Adult Choir Award, and they were named the 2006 Washington State Christian Talent Contest Winners as well. Royalty has been involved in numerous, celebrated local and West Coast events, including the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebrations held in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. In March of 2007, Royalty was given the special privilege of providing the celebration music for the Seattle King County’s Unveiling of the County Logo, and Royalty also sang at the King County Seeds of Compassion Event in April of 2008, featuring the Dalai Llama and Bishop Desmond Tutu.
However, as one of their greatest accomplishments, DaNell Daymon and Royalty recorded their first live CD and DVD in 2006, entitled “God Did It”. Recently released in 2008, this vibrant project promises to bless, encourage, and ignite those who hear it.
