Lost Your Crown is a new thing I'm working on.



I'm Dan, a 25 year old Anglo/Italian Lead guitarist/songwriter (attempted singer!) who grew up with a lot of music, and is looking to make my mark with classic song writing that draws from all the greats of Rock and Pop.

Influenced by The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles etc, I've have written more than a hundred songs that range from Hard Rock, Acoustic stuff, Soul, Southern County Rock, Folk and more, (but mainly Rock) I'm only really limited by my taste in music, although I probably steal a lot. I started out writing songs at the end of the 90s. With only a shitty acoustic guitar, some chord changes stolen from the beatles and a desire to create, so I began to daydream about the possibillities. After seing a picture of Pete Townshend in the studio recording his latest hit at as a young man, I had found my inspiration.



Scores of songs followed, and in 2001 I attended the Guitar Institute music school in Acton, West London, discovering that apart from songwriting I was becoming a decent guitarist too. Which was a total fucking surprise



Over the past couple of years I've played session gigs, worked with south London band Malmo (who later changed their name to Tueday Heartbreak and signed to Mile High records) and also formed my own band The Black Sands www.myspace.com/blacksandsmusic in 2005, to play more of his Rock/Indie material. The band folded but I currently play in Shepherd's Bush based band The Good Grief www.myspace.com/thegoodgriefgroup

Anyway I've put up this site to get some of my stuff out there, its not recorded very well, but hopefully I'll get my time in the studio one day.
