Damiana Dimitrova began learning the flute when she was 8 years old. Very soon, from the age of 10, she began a solo flute career with many symphonic and chamber orchestras, flute and piano recitals, and she appeared several times on Bulgarian national radio and television. In 1992, Damiana Dimitrova obtained a best performance award in Sofia. In 1993, she was selected by Cino Tortorella and Mike Bongiorno from among young performers in the whole of Bulgaria to appear on the television show "Bravo Bravissimo" on Canal 5 and on the Italian television channel, RAI 1, to represent her country in the Premio Mozart competition at UNESCO in Paris. She was a finalist and awarded a grant from the Berlusconi Foundation. In 1994, Damiana Dimitrova won two competitions she won the Grand Flute Award in the Young Musical Talent national competition in Sofia and the prize in the Concertino Praga competition - radio Praga, Czech Republic. In the same year, she was spotted by Alain Marion, who invited her to pursue her studies in France. In 1996, she was accepted to the Higher National Music Conservatory in Paris only aged of 16 years old .In 2001 she was graduated of Paris Conservatory and take de prizes of flute and chamber music . She was one of Jean-Pierre Rampals the flutist of the 20 century last students who considered her as one of the great hopes of French flute-playing. Damiana Dimitrova is presently pursuing her concert career throughout the world in France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Spain, Bulgaria and Greece. She records with Sony Music France and BMG. She was invited to play at the first "Les Sommets du Classique" festival in Crans Montana in Switzerland, with musicians such as Shlomo Mintz, Yuri Bashmet and Michel Dalberto .She plays also with many others famous musicians like Daniel Wayenberg , Yuri Boukoff and others .Since 2004 she begin also with her voice and flute .
Damiana Dimitrova commence la flûte traversière à l'âge de 8 ans. Très vite dès l'âge de 10 ans elle débute une carrière de flûtiste soliste avec de nombreux orchestres symphoniques et orchestres de chambre,récitals de flûte et piano. Elle fait plusieurs enregistrements pour la télévision bulgare et la radio nationale. En 1992 Damiana Dimitrova obtient le prix de la meilleure interprétation à Sofia. En 1993 elle est choisie parmi tous les jeunes talents de Bulgarie par Cino Tortorella et Mike Bongiorno pour l'emission"Bravo,Bravissimo"-Canal 5 et RAI 1de la télévision italienne pour représenter son pays au concours "Premio Mozart" à l'UNESCO à Paris. Elle est lauréate et obtient une bourse de la Fondation Berlusconi. En 1994 Damiana Dimitrova est lauréate de deux concours-elle obtient le Grand Prix de flûte traversière au concours national "Jeunes Musiciens Talents"à Sofia et le prix au concours "Concertino Praga" - radio Praga, République Tchèque. Dans cette même année elle est remarquée par Alain Marion qui l'invite à poursuivre ses études en France. En 1996 elle est admise au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris alors agée de seulement 16 ans . En 2001 Damiana Dimitrova obtient le Diplôme de Formation Supérieure et les prix de flûte et de musique de chambre de Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris .Dans la même année elle est lauréate au concours Maria Canals de Barcelone .Elle est une des dernières élèves de Jean-Pierre Rampal ,le flûtiste du 20 siècle qui l'a considéré comme l'une des grandes espoirs de l'école française. Actuellement, Damiana Dimitrova poursuit une carrière de concertiste à travers le monde en France, Grande Bretagne, Allemagne, Italie, Suisse, Hollande, Espagne, Bulgarie, Grèce. Elle enregistre pour Sony Music France et BMG. Invitée au premier festival "Les Sommets du classique" à Crans Montana en Suisse elle participe avec des musiciens tels que Maître Shlomo Mintz, Yuri Bashmet et Michel Dalberto.Elle se produit aussi avec des musiciens de notoriété tels que Daniel Wayenberg , Yuri Boukoff et d'autres .Depuis 2004 elle commence aussi une activité avec sa voix et la flûte .
