First of all I'd just like to say that all of the trax and video footage that you hear and see on my profile were recorded between the years 1991 and 1995 Now here's a little something about me Well, I was the rapper in the UK hip-hop group Son of Noise. Some of you guys may remember us when we were doing our thing on the UK hip hop scene between 1991 - 1995. The group consisted of DJ Son, DJ Renegade, DJ Mada and of course yours truly. I originally hailed from the East end of London and was a member of the hip hop group called Gunshot. Anyone that was part of the UK hip hop scene back in the early 90's will more than likely know of Gunshot, especially if you liked your hip hop raw and rugged! In 1991 I meet DJ Son from Hardnoise and started to move about with him and DJ Mada. When Hardnoise dis-banded, DJ Son, DJ Mada, Renegade and myself joined forces and started the group Son of Noise afterwhich I moved to South London and have never looked back. I've been into hip hop since 1980 (25 years) and have followed both the US and UK scenes ever since. I grew up listening to British groups like Family Quest, The Capital Boys, Cookie Crew, Junior G and MC West Rock in the early to mid 80's. I've been on this scene for a long time. Damn, I can still remember the UK Fresh and Mantronix concerts like they were yesterday. Can even remember the days when Dave Pearce was a hip hop DJ Even though I'm not a major player in the UK scene now I still love and listen to hip hop with the same passion that I had when I first jumped on the scene. As a youngster, my MC-ing influences came from Uk MC's Junior G and West Rock. I was also heavily influenced by the Cold Crush Brothers, Fantastic freaks, Ramm-Ell-Zee, The Furious Five, Spoony G, Schooly D, Busy B and that's just to name a few (Haha). These days I'm just a regular guy working for the man. I still write the odd lyric here and there to stay on my toes but the scene has changed so dramatically I can't see any room for an old skool b boy like myself to fit in. I can't chat about what these cats are rapping about these days, I'm from the old skool. However, I'm still tight with the other guys from Son of Noise, we're like brothers. Can never say never, S.O.N may return for a one off. For more info check out www.djmada.com
