Culture Dub are proud to be associated with an album for Universal that will be released worldwide as a celebration of the musical styles born in one of the most unique and innovative music & fashion eras of all time - the "gender-bending, never-ending" 1980's - a period which the public apparently retains a huge and growing fascination in these times of tumultuous change and challenge. Phil was approached by Universal late last year after the success of Culture Dub to make an album of ORIGINAL 80's-style material solely for use in films, TV and advertising, and has been working with many great writers and producers from that era (such as Tony Swain (producer of Spandau's, Imagination, Kim Wilde, Mel n Kim) Martin Smith (ELO); David Lowe, possibly the most successful media composer in the UK today- AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, AS A WRITER, PRODUCER AND VOCALIST - Phil's partner in Culture Dub, SILVIO GIGANTE.The album which is to be released on Oct 7th 2009 has been mixed by legendary sound engineer, Pete Schwier, amongst whose countless platinum credits include, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Pet Shop Boys, Kim Wilde, Simple Minds, Morrisey during the 80's at Trevor Horn's Sarm Studios. "I am thrilled and proud that Universal have given this project a major priority and to be writing songs again that reflect such an amazing period in pop music history" says Phil

CULTURE DUB'S sensational live show and Silvio & Phil’s own songs and recordings have gained phenomenal reviews with hit rates on iSound, Myspace and Youtube topping over 110,000 in just a few weeks. They recently produced the radio single "I Feel Love" for Tina Charles's on her latest album and are increasingly busy in the studio with writing, remix work and their latest Universal project (see above) "I am very privileged to be working with such a great singer and producer like Silvio" says veteran songwriter Phil; "and having been fortunate in my career to work with the likes of McCartney, Robbie, Boy George & many others - I think by now I know a true star when I see one!"
