In a world full of media hype what can be said about Crosscut Saw……
Individually and as a band, they have a solid musical pedigree, having steeped themselves in the recordings and traditions of a great musical heritage, they have worn the boards in countless venues for many a year.
"We tend to shun the temptation to talk about past successes, celebrity endorsements and awards and concentrate on the next performance."
A Crosscut Saw gig is a hoodoo rollercoaster of pure primeval power. No hype, no image, no posturing, no deception, just true alchemy.
No two performances are ever the same, even the musicians themselves don't know what potent brew will be cooked up.
Nothing can be written to give an adequate impression.
"You have to be there in the moment, you have to feel it."
So to give you an idea, a glimpse through the crack in the door; they've made the frigid frisky, the deaf hear, an epileptic fit…and come right back for more.
Crosscut Saw are a four piece blues band from Yorkshire, England consisting of Alex Eden - guitar, harmonica, and vocals, TJ Norton - harmonica, Richard Ferdinando - drums and James Heggie - bass guitar.
"I can say this, they're incredibly rare, they're the real deal."
Their material ranges from exceptional contemporary originals to covers of legends like BB King, Buddy Guy, R.L. Burnside etc.

The band has played all over Britain and Europe, including various blues festivals such as Colne Great Rhythm and Blues Festival, Burnley Blues Festival and Bishops Stock Blues Festival.

Crosscut Saw recorded their first album in 2003 produced by Richard Green [The Somatics, Ultrasound] and sales are going from strength to strength. They receive airplay on UK, American, Spanish, French, South American and Tenerife radio stations.

Alex won the prestigious Blues Musician of the Year in 2003 with D-Marie and the Blues Donor, as a result they were entered into the International Blues Challenge in Memphis USA, and made it to the semi-finals!

With a combined 45 years worth of experience playing with some of the worlds leading musicians; Otis Grand, Sugar Ray, Ian Siegal, King Rollo, Freddy James, Cecil Zinyuku, James OHara, Little Toby Walker, TJ Norton, Bob Hall, The New Mastersounds, and The Haggis Horns to name but a few; Crosscut Saw know how to put on a great show.

It is a really exciting time for the band. They are currently working on a new album, European tours and nationwide gigs, thriving in the current resurgence of blues music internationally.
