Creme (John Eden - NJ – Hip Hop Vocalist - Recording and Mixing Engineer) and Speed (Angel Colon - Bronx NY - Hip Hop/R-n-B Music Producer & DJ ) comprise the nucleus of the hot new Hip Hop group, NEW PHILLY. New Philly is a Gritty, Driven, and Polished Hip Hop Group from New Jersey and the Bronx NY whose chemistry adds fuel to an already explosive set of talent and skills.
Creme is an Artist that "Works Hard at Perfecting His Craft", says a quote taken from the HEADLINE of an article about the artist by the Courier Post, a large mainstream Southern NJ newspaper. DJ's from amateur college and syndicated radio programs such as DJ Ran (Randy), of Power 99 fm, arguably the most influential DJ in Philadelphia Hip Hop History; have endorsed and are anxiously awaiting the release of the forthcoming Debut album from New Philly. Easy Moe Bee, the only producer known to have worked with both the late TuPac Shakur and Christopher 'Notorious B.I.G.' Wallace recently commented, "they are on the right track", during a private listening of a few tracks off the new album.
Currently Creme and his New Philly counterpart, Speed, b.k.a. Lite Speed (Angel Colon) a Bronx NY native have completed their Debut album "East Side Story" and are actively organizing an effective marketing and promotional campaign as the album is expected to be released in the immediate future. The album is scheduled to be released digitally through various outlets such as iTunes and other hip hop internet related stores and websites such as UndergroundHipHop.com, in addition to a hard CD and limited vinyl release through mail order as well as local and regional placement in various stores and clubs up and down the East Coast. The group is expected to book show dates in Boston Mass., N.Y., Philadelphia PA, Atlantic City N.J., Connecticut, Atlanta Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and Ohio in support of the album.
Speed, as a young and avid producer and DJ, already has a gold album, for his work on Whodini's album "Open Sesame". He also worked on Chris Rock's album "Born Suspect". He has performed with such legendary Artists as RUN DMC, Jazzy Jay, Love Bug Starski, T-La Rock, Whodini, and Treacherous Three. He also worked with Mtume, on the album 'You, Me & He' for Epic Records and L.A. Star's album "Poetess" for Select Records. Through it all, he has never lost the passion fickle hip hop fans desire as he states, "Track 4 on 'East Side Story' says it all 'Some How… Some Way'…, we gone make it to the Top… One Day"!
