Since the release of debut album Burden, the stone on Swedish indie-label December Music, Crang continues to stir up the metal/HC scene with their straight forward style that no other band in Sweden can match.
The 2004 Close-Up Magazine Demoband of the month was the beginning that made Crang to what they are today. A close group of four members, playing
what?
- I really hate putting labels and genres on stuff. We play whatever we think is fun and if the audience likes it, its just a bonus, says Daniel Johansson. Yet it's easy to declare something, but this is all new blood. A bulldozer no one can ignore.
Everything else is old.
With a lot of positive feedback, great reviews and a solid fanbase growing stronger each day, Crang continues make music for an upcoming album and playing for a lot more venues
Every member of the band listens to different kinds of music and it feels like we can bring a lot of nuances into the music. The album Burden, The Stone illustrates some kind of feeling in the world as we know it today, with everything from materialistic obsession to the lack of humanism.
- A global darkness, a transitional period, a mental ice-age. We live closer than we ever had in a technical aspect, but we are mentally isolated a feeling I know is many peoples burden. We are our own Sisyphus and the music may take us wherever it wants, Daniel says
