Criswell, a Virginia Beach, VA native made her living as the lead singer in a 4-piece rock band called Lucky Town for 8 years. As a band, they released 4 albums , “Welcome to Lucky Town,” “Anyway I’m Fine,” “Love Overdub” and “No Luxury.” They toured all along the east coast, playing 200+ shows a year. In 2003, they were voted Best Unsigned Band by Rolling Stone Magazine. In 2005, Criswell moved to New York where she embarked on her solo effort. Her skills as a songwriter and guitarist were put to the test at venues across her then-home city although she was not making a living at it, but doing it for the sheer love of it. She eventually moved back to her roots and is now playing shows several times a month in the Tidewater area.
