DC, an 80’s baby, has had a deep love for music since childhood. Some of his biggest musical influences include Nas (and anybody else coming out of Queensbridge), Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Parliament, Sade, Lil Wayne, Mannie Fresh, The Isley Brothers, Alchemist, UGK, DJ Premier, Mike Dean, and Scarface.

DC began writing lyrics as a youngster in Junior High. His skills with the pen eventually graduated to writing songs ranging from poetry, to R&B and Rap, to Pop. He didn’t seriously pursue music until 2002, when he began recording with the now defunct Guilty Clik. Competing in local freestyle battles, Corleone began making his name while attending Texas State University (’04). It wasn’t until 2005 that DC chose to focus his efforts towards the art of beatmaking. He soon realized he had a natural knack for creating instrumentals and in 2007 founded Corleone Family Productions, his production company.

Corleone, dedicated to this art music, refuses to be labeled as just a beatmaker. DC is a producer/songwriter and has crafted Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B, Pop, Funk and Cinematic music. A world traveler, Corleone brings that perspective to his otherwise Southern-twang music. Corleone produced the Texas club banger “Big Boy Sh**” featuring Ambition, Money Makin’ Mitch, and himself. They also performed the song as a part of 2006’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Something Garden in Killeen, Texas.

Corleone co-produced and mixed Yung Tee’s second mixtape, “Itz Not Fair: The Mixtape” which features the cult hit, “Crash Test Dummy”. He is also exclusively producing Yung Tee’s debut full-length album, “Season I” which will be released this year under the 24 Fam Entertainment imprint.
