Artist - Short Description:

After winning music fans over a 1998 release, this soul singer went in to record what was to be his first solo record entitled " So Cold". While working with the collective group at the time Manish Man & Da Syndicate, he'd get the knod to pursue a solo career. At the time he had made a name for himself in the music game by singing and writing for Major and Unsigned artist in Atlanta. He would get his first major gig with the Atlanta based group A-Town Players who were then signed to Warner Bros. After recording and writing several records with Atlanta based trio, he finally placed not one but two records on their next album release entitled "We Keep It Krunk For You". One of the records entitled " Soul As Hell", was a duet with Keisha Jackson, daughter of popular soul singer Millie Jackson. This would definitely get the stamp of assurance of an upcoming solo project.

However, things would not pan out so well with then Iceberg/Ichiban Records label, sending the solo venture to a halt and eventually thrown to the shelf to collect dust. After being frustrated by the disappointment, he would pick up and move things to Los Angeles with hopes of being discovered. He would then concentrate on writing and recording with different producers. While working on his craft, he would also have to pay the bills. Auditioning for local TV shows, Movies and Stage productions. He'd made money to help him stay afloat. This also lead to a steady gig as a personal assistant on a Major Television Network. But this just wasn't quite enough for Corey.

He decided to make the move back to the south as it started to make it's name in the music industry again. While waiting for his turn at bat, Corey insists that he's definitely in it for the long haul and wanted to make it clear that he'll wait out his turn. Corey says modestly," When I write records, I write from the soul and what you hear is just that, music from the soul. I not only want to reach the R&B audiences, but others as well. Whether you listen to R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, Christian, Country or whatever. I want to be able to create great music for the masses.
