COPARCK STOPT NA 10 MOOIE JAREN



'A change is gonna come.’



Na 10 mooie jaren, 4 albums, heel veel lovende recensies, honderden optredens en een aantal mooie zijprojecten heeft Coparck in goed overleg besloten om er na deze zomer een punt achter te zetten. We vinden dat we artistiek gesproken zoals we nu opereren ons hoogtepunt bereikt hebben en dat dit een mooi moment is om er mee te stoppen.



LAATSTE OPTREDENS

We wilden dit nieuws juist nu bekendmaken, met nog een mooie set optredens voor de boeg, want behalve een triest bericht is het ook een kans om Coparck nog 1 keer live te zien. Tot eind April touren we langs de Nederlandse podia en we zouden het heel tof vinden als jij daarbij bent om dat afscheid met ons te vieren. We eindigen de clubtour op Koninginnenacht donderdag 29 April in de grote zaal van Paradiso! Daarna zullen we in de zomerperiode nog op een aantal festivals te zien zijn waaronder Zwarte Cross en de Parade.



We zijn trots op wat we gemaakt hebben en we hebben altijd met volle overtuiging opgetreden. Dat laatste willen we dit jaar nog blijven doen en dan is het afgelopen. We bedanken nu alvast iedereen die de afgelopen 10 jaar met ons heeft samengewerkt en alle fans die ons de afgelopen jaren hebben gevolgd en gesteund.

COPARCK

After a busy 2008 full of side projects and musicscores, Coparck just released a brand new album called 'A Dog And Pony Show'. A vibrant album full of sharp twinkling songs.



Coparck (Amsterdam/Holland) has been around for a while, unleashing

their mix of melodic, eclectic indie-pop. ‘A jazzed-up post-rocking city view’ layered with samples and old synthesizer sounds. With influences ranging from Beck, Blur and the

Beatles to Ben Folds five, Bacharach and Bach. As one critic put it; ‘Coparck’s songs are extremely accessible, yet oddly angular, instantly hummable, yet challenging’.



ALBUMS



The 3rd Coparck album appropriately called ‘The 3rd album’, has been released two years ago (jan.2007). Coparck also published their own newspaper tabloid with their 3rd album. For free at concerts, festivals and recordstores.



THEIR SECOND ALBUM:

‘Few Chances Come Once In A Lifetime’

(Supertracks) was recorded and produced by Coparck in their

own recordingstudio. The single 'The World Of Tomorrow' was played extensively on national radio last year, and the apocalyptic red videoclip

was made by video-artists Persijn Broersen and Margit Lukacs.

The song was also used as a score for a Dutch TV ad. Coparck has

been nominated by the VPRO for best Dutch album of 2005.



THEIR DEBUT ALBUM

‘Birds, Happiness And Still Not Worried’

(Labels/Virgin 2001) was released in Europe and Japan and

was accompanied by the frenzy single/videoclip ‘Into Routine’.
