The Conscious Daughters (TCD) is a female rap duo, consisting of members Special One and CMG, out of Northern California's Bay Area. The duo signed in 1993 to rapper/activist Paris's record label Scarface Records after passing him a demo tape at a club. He released their first album, "Ear to the Street" on his Scarface Records label.
Ear to the Street is the debut album released by hip hop duo The Conscious Daughters. It was released on November 30, 1993 for Scarface Records, distributed by Priority Records and produced by legendary rapper, Paris. Ear to the Street was a success on the billboard charts, it made it to 126 on the Billboard 200, 25 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and 7 on the Top Heatseekers
