In a genre oversaturated with thugs, goons and auto-tune, Collective Efforts is trying to keep it true to their own style. Over the past five years, the CE Crew has made it's mark on the Atlanta music scene and beyond by continuously delivering timeless classics for listeners thirsty for something different. Originally consisting of three vocalists and a DJ, the group has recently expanded it's entourage to include a backing band of talented musicians. Influenced by golden-era hip hop, jazz, 70s soul, reggae, funk, rock (you get the picture), each member of Collective Efforts brings something unique to the table that sets them apart from your average rap group.

Undaunted by industry obstacles and lack of financial incentive, the Collective has independently released three full length albums, "Visions of Things To Come" ( 2003), "Trail Mix" (2005) and "Medicine "(2006); and a limited edition 12" single, "Another Soulful Song" (US, 2004). A self-titled, Japanese exclusive full-length was also released in 2004 on Handcuts Records, consisting of selected songs from Trail Mix and Medicine. This album also contained a bonus track entitled "The Higher We Rise" which was released as another 12" single, the b-side complimented with an acid-jazz remix of "Another Soulful Song" produced by Canadian artist Muneshine.

CE toured briefly with electronica giants and good friends Sound Tribe Sector 9, and has graced the stage as opening acts for Goodie Mob, Digable Planets, Arrested Development, Little Brother and numerous others. They have had the opportunity to perform at huge festivals like Bonaroo, Re-Generation, and the Echo Project with artists such as Lyrics Born, Jurassic 5, RJD2 and The Roots. The group remains hard at work on the new album, due out Fall 2009. As soon as it is complete, they will be hitting the streets to spread the word about the release. Look for them to be playing more shows in your area soon. Stay tuned to www.cecrew.com for more updates, including another exclusive Japanese release on the horizon, and some special guests that will be blessing the new record.
