The Colieda project began during the late summer of 2003. As previous bands in which the Colieda members were involved with faded away, Andrew Stefano, Chase Mateusiak, and Patrick Dunn began their own project which consisted of tunes that had been in the works for some time. Matt eventually joined the band for a song that was written for a friend of the band who has passed away.
Thus began the band known as Colieda, consisting of Patrick Dunn (viola, vocals, guitar), Matthew Hucul (drums and percussion), Chase Mateusiak (bass), and Andrew Stefano (guitar, vocals).
With that said, the band continued to write enough material to play a few live gigs. While pensive and uneasy about the potential mixed reaction of their audience, the band relied on friends ands family to spread the word about them. With only a handful of practices under their belt(s), the band played their first full show at the Ramada Inn of Midland on January 10, 2004. From there, the band proceeded to lay down a few tracks for an EP album, which was recorded to get the word out about the band.
During the beginning of August 2004, Colieda laid down six tracks with Rick at Big Bear. After selling this EP for just over a year, the band decided to record a handful of additional tracks to add to the previous six tracks during the beginning of January 2006. This album, titled "November," is currently out and for sale at every Colieda show.
While attending school for most of the year, the four members of Colieda plan on re-assembling every winter and every summer to write, record, and play shows.
