Claudia Aru Carreras

Claudia Aru Carreras was born in 1981 in Sardegna (Italy) .

She begun her music carreer as the drummer of a punk female group called "WithoutBra".

She studyed at the Bologna University, graduated in Art History in 2005.

She lived 2 years in Barcelona (Spain) in witch she met.the "birds on head" : Riky, Jaume and Oscar, an amazing experience of funky and r&b music.

Totally in love with New York, she lived there for 6 months, always planning to come back (only visa problem!!!)

she still doesn't know where she wants to live and what she wants to do.

2006 workshop Nuoro jazz con Paolo Fresu, Maria Pia de Vito, Elisabetta Antonini, Bruno Tommaso, Tino Tracanna.

She recorded a cd with the "alea ansamble orchestra", a contemporary jazz project by Paolo Damiani (2002)

She studyed in New York City with Chiara Civello, Mark Murphy and Barry Harrys.



2007 She is an art critic and the art director af a sardinian jazz festival and organizes a jam session in S. Lorenzo, Roma (Felt Club Via degli Ausoni, 84, every Tuesday from 10.30 pm)

She works for the FELT CLUB as the art director
