Paul Morrell

Paul Morrell began his career as a DJ in his home town Coventry. Already famous for groundbreaking all night rave club "The Eclipse, Coventry had adequate heritage to give Paul credibility, and he made his first appearance at the now infamous "Foundry" nightclub in Coventry in 1997 at the tender age of 16.



From there Paul honed his skills on the decks, playing "tough house music" before dance music really split into the sub-genres that exist today. Soon playing alongside the likes of fellow respected midlanders "Lisa Lashes", Andy Farley and Miss Moneypennies founder Jim "Shaft" Ryan, Paul began working for the more underground clubs such as Crazy Daisies (Rugby), gay superclub-night "Blue" at Subway City (Birmingham), and the notorious "Steering Wheel" in the China Quarter of Birmingham.



Following the closure of virtually every major independent nightclub in Coventry, due to the opening of places such as The Skydome (at which Paul was resident for a brief period), he saw the opportunity to regularly provide Coventry's dance music lovers with a credible night spot at which they could hear the worlds biggest and best DJing talent. Classique (Pauls brainchild) was born in 2005 at The Glasshouse in Coventry, and the opening night Saw Anne Savage headline the intimate event. Classique has now grown to such an extent that it has filled Arenas up and down the country, and played host to some of the worlds most established artists.

Paul Morrell is one of the UKs fastest rising stars within the trance music genre, playing at major events across the country, and gaining massive support for his remixes and productions alike. Paul can regularly be seen working with artists such as Paul Oakenfold, Sander Van Doorn & Judge Jules, as well as donning a more hard sound when sharing the decks with performers such as Lisa Lashes, Andy Whitby & Andy Farley. However Paul has been a part of clubland for such a long period, that he is also extremely comfortable playing hose sets, and has worked with Legends including Danny Rampling, Utah Saints & Boy George playing a more downtempo electro set.



Paul regularly works for major clubs and is one of the few DJs to have played every room within the world famous Ministry of Sound in London, at which he has also played alongside Paul Oakenfold & Sister Bliss. In Ibiza, Paul has played main room sets for Judgement Sunday at Eden and Atomic at Boho, as well as at various venues on Sunset strip including Kanya & Coastline.



As well as highly skilled & versatile DJ, Paul is also an accomplished producer and has reworked productions for influential artists including Paul Oakenfold, Ariel, Judge Jules, Sonique, Blue Pearl, Matt Darey, K Klass, 4 Strings, Lisa Lashes, Tony De Vit, Stimulator & Ruff Drivers to mention just a brief selection.
