This is Classic Vibes, The Music House. Beginning with promoting a few local shows were sound systems were the feature, Classic Vibes has stamped its authority in the music arena. Promoting Dancehall border line clashes and PAs, with clashes between the hard hitting Sound Systems of the time. Some of these partakers were Chris Goldfinger & Asha World Movement, Coxon Sounds (Brixton), V Rocket (Nottingham), Wassifah Sounds (Birmingham), Jah Youth (East London)Love Injection (Birmingham), Saxon Sounds (London) Fatman (North London), Raiders (Reading), Saxon, and this list is by far not completed.
This then opened the doors where International Sound Systems were the next step. King Jammsy's, Base Oddesey, Jah Love, Body Guard, Jack Scorpio, Addis, Killa Man Jaro, Stone Love, again only a few of the Sounds showcased by Classic Vibes. At this point the promotional skills of Classic Vibes started to increase and exceed its Dancehalls capacity. These clashes vastly inspired the Original World Cup Sound System Clash UK.
After attracting the attention of Entertainment Managers and Tour Promoters, Classic Vibes was hooked up with some of the major players in the European Dancehall Industry. For approximately twenty (20) years this renowned Promotional Force has showcased a number of Reggae Artistes, both Local and International. With the likes of Barrington Levi, Alton Ellis, Junior Reid, Beres Hammond, Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Sizzla, Luciano, Sanchez, Marcia Griffiths, Freddie Mac Gregor, Half Pint, Jah Cure, Shocking Vibes Crew to name a few on the Reggae scene, were all presented live to Reggae lovers from Bristol to London, with a following from as far as Scotland Wales and Manchester.
Truly heavy vibes. Classic Vibes then followed the only other route that music lovers of this kind were drawn to the creation of their own, in other words music production. Classic Vibes Music Production came out with a bang. With the likes of such tunes as Emperors March (Prince Livijah) Thanks and Praises (Michael Prophet) and Deal with the right (Dawna Lee), Classic Vibes was well on the way to becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Hairoun Records came next. This label, created to concentrate on yet another budding genre close to the heart of Classic Vibes, Soca. This saw the release of Vincie Jams - The Real Deal. A collaboration, with their signed producer Adrian Bailey, more recognizable for his musical creation Turn me on. Turn me on (Kevin Lyttle) was released as the first single from the Vincie Jams project and the rest as they say is history.
