Her powerful lyrics, fascinating instrumentation and amazing humour have enraptured the lot of them. She’s made three awesome albums, won heaps of shit (including Best Female ARIA (2006) Yen Young Women of the Year (Music), and the Infamous“You’re Ace” Award, for being ace), and most importantly, she is absolutely cherished by her fans, who are involved in every step of her creative process. Clare and her new 7-piece band are super excited to soon be releasing Clare’s fourth album, Modern Day Addictions. It’s a musical departure for Clare, a new genre she describes as “political-disco”: upbeat songs about serious and important issues related to living in the modern world and being human. Audiences at Splendour, Sydney Opera House and WA Artbar will be the first in the country to catch the new songs live, including the first two singles from Modern Day Addictions, “Bigger Than The Money” and “The Start of War”. *The word “Statistics” was a bit of a stretch, but I’m her manager, and that’s what managers do. Most folks do really love being in her audience. And she really has played to over a quarter of a million people in the past five years. Woah.
