CK-Ray

CK came in the rap game at the age of 20.  In high school he was known as C-Ray but by the time he graduated high school in 2001 he had taken on another name which is what he is now known as: Ck-Ray.  Ck was born in Hampton, VA and every time he left the state he always came back, therefore the catchy slogan “I am VA” fits him perfectly. CK’s career has gradually taken a spin on him and now he is headed for straight stardom. His first song he recorded was “Heavy Chevy”; the beat of the song is also known to be the “Laffy Taffy” song by D4L. His first mix tape he ever performed on was “Big South’s Entertainment Presents: From My Hood to Your Hood Vol.1”. You can find Ck on various mix tapes, which are (and still growing ): Big South Ent. It is a mixtape series where Ck-Ray helps other Virginia artist get their music heard. Also letting the UK artist that Dj Ames brings to the mixtape a chance to have therr music played in the states. Other projects may include; an interview with Rhyme Cypha on the internet radio talk show called “Spitwell”, CK has also performed all over the DMV which afforded him the opportunity to perform in ATL at the “Get You Skate On” with Dj Lyri, and he is currently planning a tour to take place during the summer of ‘08. Ck is inspired most by his parents. He makes sure to keep God first in everything he does. His motivation comes from God and money that will follow with success that God had empowered him with. When asked what song by himself that best describes him he said “Shorty Trippin” and "Chevy Walk" to figure out why one would have to actually listen to the songs to understand. A very simple message that Ck would like everyone to know is that “Leo’s are very much misunderstood”. 2008 is His year and as he would say “Let’s Get It”!!!
