Scott Joseph Phares, born on June 12th, 1987 in Litchfield, IL. He gained a strong interest in music when his grandmother introduced him to Elvis Presley. Scott credits Elvis Presley, Dan Fogelberg, Christopher Cross, and Bryan White for his inspiration in music. His father was a drummer in many local bands when he was a child which furthered his interest in music. After getting his first guitar and beginning piano lessons, Scott then turned to taking guitar lessons, after 6 months of lesson he quit, and began learning on his own and writing songs. In 2002 Scott started a band called Midwest Avenue with his cousin, uncle, and father. Following that in 2005 with some friends from High School, Scott and 3 of his friends started a band together, which lead to other bands and projects. After time and wanting to tour and get out there and see the world, Scott decided to pursue a solo career and step into the industry in September of 2006. He went on to record a independent album toured with This Providence and played the Cornerstone Music Festival in June 2007 alongside bands like Switchfoot, Anberlin, Copeland, MeWithoutYou, Sherwood, Underoath, Corey Crowder, Sullivan, Toby Mac, and many others.
