Hello my Friends! Welcome to the craziness of my mind. My name is Eric Ortiz."Cirex" and this is my artist/project name, and eventually my nickname. Twisted mind musicly speaking and Follower of Jesus Christ. I am just one guy making the Nu'Metal/Industrial kind of music that I love with my own chaotic personal touch.



I was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Puerto Rico in 1986. I learned to play the guitar at the age of 13 and the bass by 18 years of age. My first band was called “Feka". Had several projects in 2000, but nothing serious. In 2003 I co-founded the band Neuttro moving on to record and co-produce the band’s debut album. The album sold in stores around Puerto Rico and some parts of the United States. Neuttro received regular radio air play on stations like “Alpha Rock” (105.7 FM) and was selected as one of the top 10 bands of the year by “La X” (103.7 FM) in 2004. By playing on big local venues with Neuttro, I became very confident on stage. Depression and a serious drug addiction made me retire from "Neuttro" in 2007. After almost losing my life to a drug overdose,I became a follower of Christ. Unable to stop making music, I began recording my own at home, only to discover that he I created something completely different, marking my own territory in the industry. Itook this very seriously. After a lot of hard work and several gas masks later, I changed my side-project from "Eric Ortiz" to my primary solo project, which he called "Cirex". Cirex debut album titled "The Lab" WAS JUST RELEASED ON April 30th 2009, with the plan of spreading his music around the world, through the internet on I-Tunes, Amazon, Napster & Rhapsody. Copies are also available in selected stores in Puerto Rico. Prepare for the craziness of my mind in the aggressive and evolved world of industrial music, like you’ve never heard before. At the end of 2010 Cirex is expecting to transform his format into a live band. The new album will include drums from Eduardo Paniagua from Puya among various singers.

Eric (cirex) is also a Graphic Designer who has worked with Adema, Earshot and Puya.
