Cinemuerte

CineMuerte were formed in 2002 by Sophia Vieira and Jo�o Vaz.
Within eight months of their birth, CineMuerte scored two tributes: to The Cure (Our Voices/Equinoxe Records - GERMANY) and to The Misfits (Portuguese Nightmare/Raging Planet Records - PORTUGAL).



They've been playing live all across the portuguese musical landscape (Opening Acts with HIM, My Chemical Romance, Paatos's, Portuguese Summer Festivals such as Vilar de Mouros, Super Bock Super Rock, etc…). Recently, they have been invited to play at the Twilight DVD Release Party as also at the World Guitar Hero Tour.
Sophia is actually part of the Crystal Mountain Singers as a guest appearance on the last Moonspell album, Night Eternal (SPV GERMANY). During the past two years, she has been performing on stage with Moonspell around the world.



On December 2008, CineMuerte released in Portugal AURORA CORE, the follow-up to their 2006 album 'Born From Ashes', via Raging Planet Records.



AURORA CORE features nine tracks including the first single 'AIR', and 'The Night of Everyday' written by Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell).
All tracks were recorded with special guests: Pedro Cardoso from Fever on drums and Moonspell guitarist Ricardo Amorim.
The CD was mixed and Mastered in Germany by Waldemar Sorychta (Lacuna Coil, The Gathering, Moonspell, Tiamat, Samael).



During the past year, the band recorded the new wave song by British singer Kim Wilde � Kids in America � released on the Metropolis 79/89 album (Carbono Records, Raging Planet & Metropolis) to pay tribute to the eighties.



Cinemuerte's"Aurora Core" is to be distributed this month in the UK via Ravenheart Music.



Meanwhile, Cinemuerte is proud to announce they are set to embark on a full UK and Ireland tour next November, following the release of the Cinemuerte's much-anticipated third long-length yet to come.
