Swedish rock'n'roller Chris Laney is back with another high-octane straight-in-your-face solo-album filled with songs that will make you think of the classic hardrock and metal albums from the 80s. It is obvious where Chris Laney has his musical roots.
Chris Laney is a guitarist and singer who has been a member in bands like Randy Piper's Animal, Zan Clan and many more. Chris Laney is also known as a brilliant songwriter and producer. He is working as a producer at legendary Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden. A studio with its name on over 500 millions sold albums.
Chris Laney's first solo album PURE was released in March 2009. It was highly welcomed and gave him a firm and increasing fan base. This new album ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT is a natural continuation of the path set with the first album, so fans will recognise the tone of rock'n'roll created by star-child Chris Laney. Just as on the first solo album, Chris Laney invited some of his friends to work with him, both as co-songwriters and as musicians. For instance Bruce Kulick (Kiss), Brian Robertson (Thin Lizzy, Motörhead), Conny Bloom (Hanoi Rocks, Electric Boys), Ian Haugland (Europe), Zinny Zan (Shotgun Messiah, Zan Clan), Nalle "Grizzly" Påhlsson (Therion, Treat, Randy Piper's Animal) and a few others have contributed on ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT.
In December 2009 Chris Laney was nominated for yet another Swedish Grammis for his work on the Candlemass album "Death Magic Doom". Chris Laney has earlier won two Grammis and been nominated for several others.
During the year since PURE was released Chris Laney has made a mini tour, but mostly he's been hiding out in the dungeons of Polar Studios recording and mixing Candlemass, mixed live for Europe, recorded and mixed Brian “Robbo” Robertson, produced and mixed Casablanca, produced and mixed Crazy Lixx, mixed H.E.A.T.'s song "1.000 Miles" (which was the most played song on Swedish radio 2009.) as well as mixing, producing, recording for tons of other artists.
In February 2010 Chris Laney got endorsed by Rockstar Energy Drink. Chris Laney uses Hughes & Kettner amps and ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT is mostly recorded on the "Coreblade" model.

Swedish Rock n Roller Chris Laney has been involved in music all his life. He started to tour at the age of 13 and was in bands like Scratch and Seventeen. He is a multi-talented musician who plays piano, drums and other instruments, but the guitar is what has become his closest friend. Chris Laney is endorsed by Motoby Guitars and he has designed his own models for Motoby called “Laney Vee” and also the “Bastard Axe (Ripper-Series)”. Chris Laney is also endorsed by Kulik Design amps and has a signature model “Chris Laney GP-1”.

Today the Polar Studios is owned by legendary producer/engineer Lennart Östlund (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, ABBA). Polar Studios has its name on amazing number of over 500 millions sold albums with artists like Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Genesis, Rolling Stones, The Ramones, ABBA and others. Chris Laney invited Lennart Östlund to work with him on his solo-album “Pure”. Lennart Östlund is co-producer, co-mixing as well as co-writer and musician.
As a producer/engineer Chris Laney has worked with artists like Candlemass, Europe, Crashdiet, Bruce Kulick, Brian “Robbo” Robertson, Easy Action and others. Chris Laney has received two Swedish Grammy’s and has been nominated for a total of seven. He has sold gold and double platinum as a songwriter and producer.
As a guitarist you will find Chris Laney as a member in Randy Piper's Animal and Zan Clan, bands where he was also the main songwriter and producer. Chris Laney has released two albums with ex-WASP guitarist Randy Piper in his band Animal, “Violent New Breed” (2006) and “Virus” (2008). Chris Laney has released one album with Zan Clan “We Are Zan Clan … Who the Fxxk Are You” (2005) and the DVD “Kickz The Livin Shit … Outta Stockholm City” (2006).
