When asked about growing up on the West side of Chicago, he says that it's more of a "turn up" attitude than the South side, but adds that violence is everywhere.

Moving on, the Atlantic Records artist says the he was trying to radiate some positivity to Chicago with his hit song, "DLow Shuffle." He believes that it gives kids something positive to do instead of worrying about gangs or violence.

When asked about his dancing background, DLow explains that he's been working on his craft since he was around seven, and says that he's the biggest fan of hip-hop oriented styles of dance. He also shares stories of dance battling at something called "The War Zone" in Chicago.
