I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net, check out these Myspace Layouts!Hi everyone, Im Cheryl and I used to be part of the duo -'Scarlet' - Most commonly known for 'Independent Love Song' which I wrote and sang in 1995 ( God its been over 10 years - what the hell happened there?!) We released 2 albums on WEA (Naked & Chemistry) and had a blast promoting round Europe and toured with Wet Wet Wet and Brian Ferry. Our biggest gig was playing to over 20,000 people at Wembley arena and it scared me half to death! As much as I loved it once I was actually out on the stage - I'd really only fallen into being a performer by accident. My first love (and intention) had always been to write songs, and thats what I do now. Since Scarlet split in Oct 96 I met and started working with Lucie Silvas who became (and still is!) one of my closest friends - her new album 'The Same Side' is awesome and Im proud to say I co-wrote 2 of the tracks as well as 'The Longer We're Apart' on Breathe In. I met my songwriting partner - the gorgeous & talented Sara Eker (of former girl band 'Moneypenny') about 3 years ago, we clicked musically and personally and since then we've written some great songs with some amazing people and are grateful everyday for getting to have the best job in the world :) writing songs and having fun hanging out with wickedly cool people! We've worked with so many great writer/producers but most recently include Graham Kearns, Charlie Russel, Gordon Mills, Brio, Gareth Young & Swedish pop gods TWIN. We also did an album for girlband 'The Faders' (Molly McQueen) and had a top20 with No Sleep Tonight which we co-wrote with Mark & Jeff Taylor. Our song 'Looking Good' is in the Bratz doll box (Jade if you're a Bratz fan!) and we've had a number 1 in Mexico! Thats just to name a few.! We're writing new songs all the time so I'll keep posting and feel free to let me know what you think, thanx for stopping by, love Cheryl xxx
