Cherie Hampton is a singer/songwriter, proffessional dancer, choreographer and model.
She was born on a cold november night with a golden complexion and a natural "green eyed devil" (given nickname by her dad) half american half swedish.
At the age of 3 her parents put her in dance school wich later, in her teens, got competition from basketball. Cherie moved to Cincinatti, Ohio, at the age of 17 to study at Wyoming High School, to play ball and to get her diploma so that she would have the option of going to college but destiny led her back to Sweden again after finishing high school.
Music has always been apart of Cherie's life, but she was a late bloomer, starting in her teens rapping, but ended up helping her father writing lyrics and singing on his demos for other artists. Wich led to them to start co-writing and later Cherie started to write her own lyrics for her own songs.
At the age of 19 she moved to Stockholm, Sweden to attend the Ballet Academy wich she attended for 2 years while teaching Hip Hop classes, assisting Ambra Succi (from Bounce Street Dance Company) modelling, choreographing, different events and working with her music on the side and then quit the Ballet Academy because she simply wanted music to be a bigger part of her life. So she applied an audition for another music art school where she attended the 1 year music program of soul.
Since then Cherie has been working with music side by side, teaching street dance and new school at the biggest dance schools in Sweden such as the Ballet Academy, Dance Center, Fryshuset and Marikas but she also expanded across the borders teaching workshops and master classes in Europe and New York (Parry Studio) choreagraphing modelling shows, dance performances, touring with some of Swedens best recording artists doing music videos (PETTER, DARIN, SUNBLOCK, LAZY etc.) coaching dancegroups/crews, privatecoaching and coreographing recording artists.
As a singer/songwriter she has been working with producers from Sweden(Ishi, Christos, Sheriffen, Collen & Webb, Stress) Denmark (Maximum Risk, Copenhaniacs, Providers, Cut Father & Joe) London (Calvin) Atlanta (Keith) and New York (Quiz) and writers; Kaneischa Pratt, Christos, Sandra Nordström and Arama.
She is also featured on Schoolblocks Album "New day" on 4 songs wich she wrote.
Cherie is currently working on her demo and will be in New York city for the next couple of months.
