From the time that she could speak it seemed that all Charissa wanted to do was sing. From her first performance in a fourth grade talent show, all the way through her high school years, where she sang in the choir, played clarinet in the band and performed the national anthem at local sporting events, as well as at the famed Bonneville National Speed Weeks Opening Day Race, on Utahs Bonneville Salt Flats. She moved to L.A. straight out of high school, to pursue her dream. She's had many ventures, including being involved with several top-40 bands, an A Cappella group called Five Carat, backup singing for several artists including Reba McEntire, Brandy, Raven Simone, Tre Hardson, and more. Studio recording and vocal production for various producers in the Los Angeles, and Nashville area, and most influencial, teaching the craft. Composition also began early for Charissa. She wrote her first song at the age of ten, which she called "That Boy" and taught it to all of her friends. Twelve years and several hundred songs later Charissa will have written or co-written each of the twelve songs on her debut record, This Road. She's currently working with her new band Sun City Revival, still writing, and about to release her second album very soon. Charissa also sings yearly for The Help Groups "Teddy Bear Ball" held in December, which is a fundraiser to help families of children with Autism.
New album due out this year! Look out for it.
