Even as a little girl Chaaya already displayed an obvious talent for performing arts. At the age of five, she enrolled in theater and musical classes where she made her first appearances on stage and in public. It was her constant strive to improve her skills that brought her to the highly regarded Swiss children's circus "Robinson". Over the course of six summers, Chaaya toured across Switzerland and participated in several circus festivals worldwide, winning many awards in return. At the age of 18, Chaaya decided that it was time to move on. Her journey took her all the way to Montreal, Canada, where she studied for three years at the National Circus School that is now part of the "Cirque du Soleil". After an unfortunate accident on the trampoline, her career as a circus performer seemed to come to an crushing halt. Her knee was severely damaged and would not allow her to perform on the same top level as before. But Chaaya did not give up. Realizing that the circus was not the only venue to express her multiple talents, she got back on her feet and flew to the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles. Within days she entered the famous Millennium Dance Complex at the Edge Performing Art Center and signed-up for various Hip Hop classes. It took Chaaya little time to integrate herself with all the other dancers and mentalities. After only two days she got invited for her first audition and in turn successfully completed a tour of California with a new artist "Dedra". Shortly after, Chaaya got signed to one of the most prestigious dance agencies (Agency West) in the U.S. Her agent noticed right away that she had more to offer than just being a dancer and circus performer. Later, Chaaya auditioned as a singer for an existing girl group on a major record label. She was chosen among many other candidates but found herself not being integrated well enough. So she quit and focused on singing and dancing as a solo artist. While working on her demo in several recording studios, Chaaya supported herself as a backing vocalist and dancer in a number of music videos as well as several award shows, to name a few: BET Award, MTV Awards, Billboard Awards and TV commercials. A year and a half later, Chaaya decided to pursue her dream not only in the States but also back home in Zurich, Switzerland. Soon she was a featured dancer on Swiss-Television's most popular Saturday night entertainment show "Benissimo". In addition, she also performed with "Culture Shock", a professional dance group from America. At the same time, Chaaya was approached by manager Florian Sidjanski, who immediately offered her a management deal to set up her forthcoming album, video and promotional tour. Chaaya's future looks as bright as ever and we will get to hear and see great and exciting new performances very soon.
