17 duets recorded in studio between 1993 (« Ausencia », with Goran Brégovic) and 2010 (« Moda Bô », avec Lura), and 2 live duets, including Sodade recorded with Eleftheria Arvanitaki during a memorable show in Athens in 1999 and « Negue » recorded that same here during Isabelle Dhordain’s program on France Inter with Caetano Veloso.



Cesaria – the World Music Queen – is home everywhere, from Brasil to Poland, from Cuba to Italy… From her countless concerts around the world she has kept encounters with the greatest artists who often happen to be her greatest fans and rewarded her by singing with her. With this album, Cesaria Evora takes us on a musical trip around the planet, the centre of which being her “petit pays” Cape Verde, for eighty minutes of sweetness, nostalgia, elegance and emotions.
