Cease of Breeding

The Brutal Death Metal unity called CEASE OF BREEDING was born in august of 2003 by John(guitars) and Tom(Bass) in Thessaloniki northern Greece under the name of Infernal Ritual,few months later George joined the band as the singer and Bill as the Drummer.
In may of 2004 Leon replaced Tom and the name was changed to Cease of Breeding.the First demo was Completed in december of 2004 including 2 songs called 1:Cease of Breeding 2:Vae Victus.The band started performing liveshows all over Greece and in 2005 managed to play 4 shows in 3 different cities.
The last show of this year was with the bands new drummer Paul.
2006 was also a very active and important year for the band.
PROMO 2006 was Recorded/mixed/mastered in january in 2 days at Nemesis Studios in Kavala-Greece including 2 songs 1:Strangulate the Bitch 2:Scattered Human Parts.
The promo received very good reviews from Magazines and webzines and succeded to spread the name in the Underground scene,of course many livedates as ussual took place but the most important was in the band's hometown as a support act for the mighty VADER.
2007 and the activity still continues,The band enters Nemesis Studios again in order to record the "EXPANDING THE MASSACRE" m-cd.After that the chase for a label started and the band managed to released it from REVERB PRODUCTIONS.the M-cd like the PROMO 2006 receives great reviews from the press again and liveshows are taking place again in order to promote the release.
In 2008 the band starts looking for a new drummer and after a few months welcomes the german drummer Jan Benkwitz in the family which is an ex-BELPHEGOR member and starts preparations for their Debut album,the band Performs one liveshow in Larissa-Greece as a support act for Despondency.
Stronger and better than ever shows the world that they are ready to expand the quality and deliver their most important work up to date.
The preproduction for the debut album is completed at the end of the year.
In 2009 the band full consetrates on the creation of the album and starts recording the drums in january at soundlodge studios in Germany.
In one day Jan benkwitz managed to deliver the band's best drum work extremely brutal and tight at the same time,the band starts preparation for the rest of the instruments and enters massroom studios in december to complete the guitars and the bass in 3 days,after that the vocals were recorded in 1 day and the mixing-mastering process started immediatelly.
2010 and the album is 100% ready in january with the most brutal and intense songs ever conceived by a greek band combined with a huge but also clean production.
The band starts looking for a new label,the success is massive and the band receives 6 label offers from very good labels based in germany,UK,USA etc.
AMPUTATED VEIN,a japanese based label known for artists like All shall perish and 32 more gives the best offer and a great contract is signed by the band.
In the meanwhile the opening song"Death to all and all to Death" is featured in the Brutal beatings compilation of the famous SICKDRUMMER magazine that recieves promotion all over the metal press.
"SOUNDS OF DISEMBOWELMENT" is unleashed at 2/8/2010 and recieves again massive success,the band is featured on the TERRORIZER magazine,receives great reviews from important zines all over the world.
The sales are going really well and the album manages to SOLD-OUT in 2 great and wellknown distros(plastichead,powerplaydirect) which is an ultimate success.
2011 and The band is working on new material with 7 songs in total ready in preproductions.
The new songs are faster and more brutal than before but also darker and slower,this combination is a huge step forward that shows the big progress of the band.
A promo cd will be recorded in late 2011 that will include 2 new songs and in the meanwhile liveshows will take place.
Energy and inspiration is what Cease of Breeding has to give.the quality and the result is the only thing that matters.
