This isn't the real deal its just I love their music and saw and absense of their new material on myspace and thought everyone would appreciate some of their newer material.

Deerhoof began a little more than a decade ago back in '94 between Greg Saunier, a drummer, and Rob Fisk, a guitarist. The band debuted with a single in 1995 which was named Return of the Wood M'Lady. Where the bands personality really got solidify was when Satomi Matsuzaki joined up as lead singer and bassist for the group. Her voice brought a certain touch to the music which really made their sound stand out.

With a trio now formed their first LP The Man, the King, the Girl launched in 1997 with a follow up in 1999 titled Holdypaws. At this time Fisk decided to pursue a band of his own and left the two. Their third release came out in 2001 but is now a bit of a Deerhoof rarity, Halfbird. After Fisk's departure John Dieterich joined the group filling the guitar void.

With another trio rounded up they came into their own success both critically and commercially with 2002's Reveille. Then for the next year's follow-up, a second guitarist by the name of Chris Cohen came into the picture and helped out. And if they weren't already on a roll Milk Man rolled out into stores the following year again.

2005 saw another album which turned into another critical succes reaching the top ten's of many end of the year lists. That album is The Runners Four, and if you haven't gotten into Deerhoof it's a brilliant spot to hop in.

P.S. if anyone representing Deerhoof is interested in getting the band an official Myspace I'd be more than happy to keep it updated just for fun.
