Carben is a rap/rock/hip-hop/R&B duo from middle Georgia. Carben is made up of two members: Dustin Bennett aka 'Cymple', and Joseph Carnes aka 'Flyght'. The name derived from the first three letters of each of the two's last names. The two met during Dusty's short-lived college venture at Georgia Southern. Joe, on the other hand, was there to start over new, fresh out of a five year prison sentence at North Carolina's Department of Corrections. Their background is easily summed up in the line: 'Far as twos go you never met a duo this thorough; A poet and a crook, who crossed fates in Statesboro'. The two bonded over their love of Hip-Hop, and slowly began developing their own sound.

"Long story short, we ran thru three different Indy labels in Atlanta, got alot of broken promises, broken spirits, and left broke". "But in the process, we made a few major connections, and put together a truly awesome album!" That's the best way to sum it up. I, (Dusty/Cymple/the guy pictured) currently live in Kingsland, Ga.
