CanDJane

Candy Thedens, a.k.a. CanDJane was born in Flensburg, Germany. Influenced by her mother, also a DJane in former times, Candy grew up with Soul, Funk and House Music and of course Techno in the nineties. After moving to Berlin in 2001, she started to discover the typical Berlin minimal sound and its scene.
In 2006, Candy began spinning vinyls at the age of 27. Her style is a very soulful mix of minimal and tech-house highly influenced by Berlin and Detroit sound. Although Candy appeared late as a DJane, she knows how to catch the audience.
Nowadays CanDJane is playing at a big variety of festivals and clubs around Europe and the East like Studio80 Amsterdam, Klub55 Warschau, Dunkel Copenhagen or Kazan tip Festival Ukraine.
Besides her DJane acts, she is also doing her own events. In the beginning, with a few friends, she started the benefit party Tanzen Hilft. It was successful in collecting money for Arche Berlin e. V., which helps poor children in and around Berlin.
Today, parties like Märchenwald, the first Cécille Label night Berlin or the 8bit Label night Berlin belong to her range of done events.
