California Dreaming

CALIFORNIA DREAMING combines the extraordinary talents of guitarists/singers James Graydon and James Nisbet who, together with a small rhythm section & backing vocalist, present an intimate evening inspired by the American song book from the golden era of the 1960s/70s.



The band features 6 world class musicians who, between them, have worked with the likes of Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Van Morrison and Brian Ferry.



For any of you who have enjoyed the music of artists such as James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Steely Dan, this is very much the night for you.



The show creates the atmosphere of a bygone age, and includes stories behind the songs that defined an era. Enjoy a night of incredible acoustic music and vocal harmony in an MTV ‘unplugged’ style setting, that will make you feel like you are cruising along the Laurel Canyon highway with the roof down, the sun shining, and the radio playing your favourite song.



The two James have spent many years honing their craft from intimate club environments to stadiums all over the world. Since its inception, California Dreaming have set themselves the highest of musical and performance standards. The level of execution and virtuosity displayed during their sets is breathtaking, and needs to be seen to be believed. However they take great care in never detracting from the essence of the song.
