La banda cuenta con un un EP debut titulado "Sin control Mi rock & Roll" editado a finales del 2002, grabado y mezclado por completo en su pueblo natal: Tres Rios, Costa Rica. Contiene los temas: 1-Street Brain Parafernalia 2-Oh mi San Pedro 3-El Cirko 4-Blankanieves (Parte I) y 5-Costa Porno (Version Punk rock). El tema Penthouse Empresario fue grabado en el 2004, promocionado con exito en el programa Punto de Garaje de Radio U y puede conseguirse en algunas copias especiales del EP, ya que no se espera sea parte del album que la banda esta preparando.



Llegando a los 10 años de existencia, han participado en numerosos conciertos y festivales de renombre en el ambito underground nacional, dejando una buena impresion por lo rabia, euforia y energia de su puesta en escena, la cual es uno de los puntos mas altos del grupo, que los ha llevado a ser los ganadores por 2 etapas consecutivas de la distincion a mejor grupo de rock nacional en vivo, otorgado por votacion del publico en La Escapatoria.com durante los aos 2002 y 2003 . Cabe destacar su participacion en el setimo Rockfest (2003), en dos ediciones del festival Rock Tico (2002, 2003), en el Costa Rock 2006, 2007 y 2008 Festival Punto de Garaje 2007 y en numerosos conciertos de la Productora Nacional "Vieja Escuela" ademas del primer CODA Festival Internacional Hardcore-Punk, abriendo con gran exito junto a las tambin bandas nacionales UFO, Codigo Penal y Teatromocracia; a los legendarios The Misfits (cuya presentacin incluia a Marky Ramone en la bateria y Dez Cadena en la guitarra). Xpunkha fueron tambien parte de los teloneros para la segunda visita de The Misfits durante el pasado mes de Agosto de 2008. Para este periodo 2009 espera por fin la salida un disco con unas 8 canciones, el titulo del disco planeado seria eventualmente: "Mala Vida".



Everything started in the year 2000, when Xpunkha was formed in the small town of Tres Rios (in Cartago, Costa Ricas former capital city) as a project of some high school friends involving Paulo "P4U10" (drums) (former band s founding member) along with Lukrezia Snakepit Mindless (vocals) and Markony Della Mafia (guitar). P4U10 and Lukrezia played together as Xpunkha for around 5 years until past december 2005 when P4U10 decided to quit the band. Also, despite several changes in its guitar and bass lineups, somehow Lukrezia and Markony have managed to find enough friends to fill in and continue performing live shows and rocking the Costa Rican underground punk rock scene with fierce attitude and energy. During January 2009, their drummer for around 2 years, Demolition, left the band and the bands drumming was taken over by Don Papilla Thunderfuck, also a member of the band Rejuntados



Their first studio recording was a five song Indie EP, released at the end of 2002 and entitled "Sin Control mi Rock & Roll" (Cannot Control My Rock and Roll) including the tracks: Street Brain Parafernalia, Oh mi San Pedro, El circo, Blankanieves (Parte I), Costa Porno. Though all are classics, some of these songs are no longer played in their current live shows. The song "Penthouse Empresario" was recorded during the end of November 2004 and edited as a single for radio play only. Xpunkha were named Best Live Act for 2002 and 2003 by the webzine laescapatoria.com and have performed in some of Costa Ricas biggest and best festivals and concerts, such as Rockfest 7, Rocktico 2, 3 & 4, Costa Rock 2006 and 2007, Punto de Garaje Fest 2007 and several shows for "Vieja Escuela". In 2004, they opened for the legendary band, The Misfits (Only, Dez and Marky) in their only live performance in Costa Rica, along with local bands and good friends, Codigo Penal, Teatromocracia and UFO. This has a replica on August 2008 when The Misfits visited Costa Rica for the second time and Xpunkha were again among the opening acts.



With its current lineup, including Erick El Rojo on lead guitar, Don Papilla Thunderfuck drumming, Deadly Hanson on bass, Xpunkha are planning to get into the studio by the end of this 2009, in oder to record their new album, tentatively entitled "Mala Vida" (Bad Life). It will include some of the greatest songs ever made by the band such as, Sekretaria Marka Diablo, Corazon Lascivo, Dias de Vino y Rosas (Blankanieves II), Evangelio Dr. Cocaina, Salmo 151, Voodoo Gangsta ,etc.
