Like every true hardcore/punk band, BULLET TREATMENT play by
their own rules, but it's safe to say they have a formula unlike any other.
Since their inception over six years ago, they've had a revolving door for a
lineup, consisting of over 20 different members, which has included members
of:
-ONLY CRIME
-VULTURES UNITED
-STRIKE ANYWHERE
-THE VOIDS
-INSTED
-THE ALLIGATORS
-ROCK KILLS KID
-SPIDER
-THE BRONX
-CIVET
-RISE AGAINST
-STAR FUCKING HIPSTERS
-SUICIDAL TENDENCIES
-SWINGIN' UTTERS
-THE ICARUS LINE
-ANTI-FLAG
-& more.
This is the secret recipe that is BULLET TREATMENT. "Everyone's in other serious
bands doing their own thing with their own bands, so that's what's cool about
doing this, everyone comes in and out whenever they can as their schedules permit".
"How many bands do you actually know that still have all of their original members?
Literally, none of them do. So we just figured if it's going to happen anyway,
then we might as well do it on purpose." With this mentality, BULLET TREATMENT
has managed to consistently put out an array of flawless ep's, splits, covers,
and compilation tracks.
Review Excerpts:
"The overall sound of "The Mistake" is that of people running
into each other with scissors. It's the sound The Mistake that used to have
people branding punk rock as dangerous music." - Pastepunk.com
"A fabulously furious assault of both East and West Coast
punchy punk adolescence, Bullet Treatment isn't just a mere throwback to the
halcyon days of circle pits at CBGB. Bullet Treatment proves there's simply
no mistake to be found." - Mean Street Magazine
"The spirit of 1980 lives on in Bullet Treatment, fast angry short
blasts that I hope will wake up the punk world." - Greg Hetson (Bad
Religion)
"What More Do You Want?" is one of the Top 10 records
of 2004." - Amp Magazine
"Bullet Treatment reminds me when music was still dangerous and
fun. No fancy crap or multiple takes. Rock !!!" - Volcom
"Who are these guys anyway? And why the hell aren't these
guys headlining the Warped Tour instead of all that radio friendly fodder all
the young punks are being force fed? By and large, this is a gift from the punk
gods above, proving there is still hope for us yet." - Skratch Magazine
"Fast, Loud, and Hard, the way that Punk Rock was meant to be.
Combines elements of the Minor Threat/DC scene with LA sensibilities. Play this
loud and watch the old folks scatter!" - Kimm Gardener (Channel 3)
"There's the incredible highspeed-drumming, churning guitars
and a vocalist shouting like there won't be a tomorrow. All of these things
are working in favor of Bullet Treatment and make them a great listen!" - Punk
Rock Theory
"Bullet Treatment play straight-up hardcore punk that's fast
and belligerent and you can't keep track of these guys- it's unpredictable and
impulsive and the more I hear, the more I wanna hear. It's got the assertion
of Minor Threat and the Circle Jerks and a more assertive 7 Seconds. I can't
back this shit enough, it just excites me. It's back to basics and it's where
we should be heading. Sick." - No Front Teeth Magazine
"A bottle of Advil is required for listening." - Slug
Magazine
"This is no bullshit, in your face thrash that would fit
in with bands like Jerry's Kids, Articles Of Faith or Negative Approach. And
those are names that I don't use lightly." - Loud, Fast, Rules! Magazine
"Fast thrashing hardcore - with feet planting firmly in punk.
They've got this classic SoCal hardcore feel to them - think early Adolescents
and Circle Jerks." - Maximum Rock n' Roll Magazine
