Former child Gospel star Bryan Wilson is back and making noise. His latest CD "A Second Coming" has received great magazine reviews, a second round Stellar award nomination and the third radio single "Change in Me" is beginning to climb the gospel music charts. The song can be heard on as diverse stations as Walt "Baby" Love's syndicated "Gospel Traxx" program, XM/Sirius and WMBM Radio in Miami.

Bryan hit the scene in 1994 as a 12 year old with his soulful, melismatic rendition of “His Eye on the Sparrow” with the Mississippi Children’s Choir. In 1996, John P. Kee, Walter Hawkins and Kirk Franklin contributed to his traditional solo CD "Bryan's Songs" which won both Stellar and Dove award nominations. In 1999, he cut a more urban-styled gospel CD entitled "Growing Up" that featured Inspirational R&B star Onitsha.

After a voice change and time off for college at Claflin University as an undergraduate and Princeton University Seminary, Wilson is back on the music grind. He and his manager Bill Carpenter opened Bryan's Songs/CE Music and released the urban-flavored "A Second Coming" CD in early 2008. The project features production by producers who have collaborated with Keyshia Cole, Usher, and Ciara. There are also tracks by up and coming producer Kris “Doc Sizzle” Bell, who has collaborated with contemporary gospel legend John P. Kee and rapper B.B. Jay. “It has a really raw sound,” Wilson says. “The way the vocals are mixed is especially raw, but I like it. It’s a little different but I think people will like it. However, all music theory aside, my main mission for these songs is to encourage and save souls for Christ.”

The next project for Bryan will be the "Live Experiences" CD which will feature a riveting music and video from a special concert in Bryan's hometown of Champaign/Danville, IL and some bonus tracks featuring artists such as Duranice Pace. Look out for that in winter 2010.

In the meantime, you can get a sample of this old skool meets new skool CD by hearing Bryan's song "If You're Talking About Jesus" from Time Life Music's new CD "Shouting Down the Aisles" in August 2009. It will be available on www.timelife.com and TV commercials on BET.
